The SLG is one of London’s leading galleries for the presentation of contemporary visual art and live art events.  Alongside our artistic programme, we offer a thriving education and outreach programme which offers exceptional opportunities for people of all ages to engage with, and be inspired by, contemporary art.  This is an exciting year in the gallery’s history with the opening of our £2 million building extension in June creating three new small-scale exhibition spaces to complement our existing gallery, alongside an education studio, flat for artists-in-residence, café, bookshop and garden for sound and light commissions.

As a registered charity, we receive core funding from Arts Council England and the London Borough of Southwark but need to raise the remaining 41% of our annual budget from other sources. The support of individuals, corporate sponsors, trusts and foundations is therefore essential to the gallery’s growth and success.
