Following six months as the South London Gallery's Graduate-in-Residence in the Outset Artists' Flat, Alicia Reyes McNamara presents her first solo show in a public institution entitled Nowhere Else. Reyes McNamara received her MFA from the University of Oxford’s Ruskin School of Art in 2016, after completing her BFA at California College of the Arts. Her work has been included in the Bloomberg New Contemporaries exhibition at the Bluecoat, Liverpool and ICA, London in 2016.
Chandra Frank is an independent curator, writer and PhD candidate. Her work is focused on the Black, Migrant and Refugee Women’s movement in the Netherlands during the 1980s. She explores the role of archives, Black and brown feminist genealogy and the politics of pleasure and resistance. Frank is interested in uncovering hidden queer stories, countering the archive and thinking towards decolonial modes of research and curating.
