For their South London Gallery (SLG) exhibition Marie Cool Fabio Balducci present sculptural works taking the form of series of ‘exercises’, executed by Marie Cool in the SLG’s main space all day, continuously from 12 until 6pm, Tuesday to Sunday, throughout the six-week run of the show, regardless of whether or not there are visitors in the space.

Using basic objects ‘a table, a chair, sheets of A4 paper, Sellotape or pieces of thread’ and slow, precise actions, the apparent simplicity of the works is at odds with the intensity of experiencing them, and with the physical control behind their realisation.
