The biennial Outset Residency is offered to an international artist commissioned to make new work as part of the SLG’s exhibition programme.

Thea Djordjadze - 2015

For her solo show at the SLG, running in the main gallery from 2 October - 29 November 2015, Thea Djordjadze has created a new sculptural installation in direct response to the specific character of the main exhibition space. It represents the latest development in an art practice which she sees as being a continuous process, repeatedly drawing on existing works and materials, reconfigured into fresh iterations in combination with entirely new pieces.

Thea Djordjadze was born in 1971 in Tbilisi, Georgia, and currently based in Berlin.
