On one side of the Gibraltar Strait, Ibrahima, a young Senegalese man living illegally in Tangier dreads the dangerous voyage to Europe. On the opposite shore, as the fishing trade declines, Agostinho is reluctant to depart for better employment in Holland. The two migration stories’ similarities reveal the need and difficulty of finding one’s place as the globe falls into a state of crisis.

Film Africa is an annual London film festival celebrating the best African cinema from across the continent and diaspora brought to you by the Royal African Society.
