Visit the Archive for a morning of interactive installations and family friendly workshops hosted by Camberwell College second year BA Illustration students Hellie Cartledge and Mackenzie Hall, Harry Murphy and Emma Sielaff.

Visitors to the Archive are invited to find out more about the secret histories of south London, including the story of Hartley’s Jam Factory, the legacy of Sybil Phoenix and an attempt to recreate an impressive world record from 1906.

This event is part of the South London Story Lab Archive takeover and has been programmed by second year BA Illustration Students from UAL Camberwell College to coincide with the display South London Story Lab with the Big Family Press which is on show in the Archive from 18 February until 12 May.

Biographies

Emma Sielaff is a visiting student from Chicago, currently studying illustration at the Camberwell College of Arts. Her favourite colour is yellow and she likes to spend her summer days picnicking in the grass.

Mackenzie Hall and Hellie Cartledge are second year illustration students who have been running story workshops with children in south London and encouraging their creative voices to be heard.

Harry Murphy is an illustrator producing mostly hand-drawn and painted works with a simple and slightly wobbly style of illustration. Murphy creates and characterises different people and places in a playful way.
