• CURRICULUM 003: Rita Gayle On Black Feminist Collectives

Join Rita Gayle, PhD Researcher (University of Birmingham) for a talk outlining her current investigations into the millennial generation of Black feminist creative collectives in Britain.

Gayle explores how these collectives have formed as a strategy to counteract their exclusion from the creative and cultural industries.

She interrogates the effects that navigating different dominant cultural narratives has on the collectives.

Gayle questions the reverberations these collectives have on Black British culture and their impact on sector-wide conversations on the diversity gap.
