Join us for a foraging walk around local south London parks, gardens and green spaces, led by Maymana from misery; a sober QTIBPOC mental health collective.

Maymana Arefin (she/they) is an artist, community organiser and writer based in London. Through leading nature immersions, plant and fungi walks, her work focuses on deep rest and healing, tending to land and soil, and restoring our communion with our non-human kin.

misery is a London-based sober mental health collective led by and for Queer, Trans, Intersex Black, Indigenous and People of Colour (QTIBPOC).

The walk duration is approximately an hour and a half.

Things to bring, if you’d like:
• a notebook
• a pen or pencil
• yourself

Following the walk, join us for evening of board games in the SLG’s Main Gallery which will be transformed into a space of immersive and relaxed escapism.

ACCESS

  • This event is 18+
  • If you would like to attend this event but the ticket price is a limitation please get in touch as we have reserved a number of free tickets for low-income individuals. Contact us at:adoudu@southlondongallery.org
  • The walk will trail through local parks and green spaces in Peckham and Camberwell. The walk is not fully accessible, it will likely include stairs, uneven surfaces and grass.
  • Wheelchair Access and Disabled Toilets are available at the Main Gallery
  • Meet at SLG’s Main Gallery at 4pm
  • Return to the Main Gallery for 6.30pm for board games and drinks in the Fox Reception until 8.30pm
