Join us for the launch of Christina Kimeze’s first monograph. Published by the SLG, this new illustrated catalogue documents Kimeze’s exhibition Between Wood and Wheel and the last five years of her practice.
This stunning hard-backed book includes a foreword by Margot Heller and essays by curator and writer Ekow Eshun, and Eleanor Nairne, The Keith L. and Katherine Sachs Curator for Modern and Contemporary Art and Head of Department at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. It also features a conversation with the artist and Alayo Akinkugbe, writer, art historian and founder of @ABlackHistoryOfArt.
For the cover of the book, Kimeze has created a specially designed three-color screenprint on linen. This special publication has been designed by A Practice for Everyday Life.
