The Desi Gal Xmas Roast (What else to call it!) is a six course festive winter dinner party in London via the taste of Lahore and Kolkata.
Numra from Empress Market and Sohini from Smoke and Lime are deși chefs, and so they can’t help but add masala to the classic Christmas menu and make them our own.

Sohini and Numra are two friends who love cooking together, adding their special chaska sbāda to every meal, and panicking about not having enough food!
PANIC DAAL is a homage to the extra dish that they ALWAYS cook last minute a their events. It’s that humble pantry staple every desi chef knows by heart, the main ingredient being a literal panic there won’t be enough food. Of course there is always enough to eat, too much in fact.
