When we gather/celebrate/congregate, nourishment is always on the menu.

Sisterwoman is excited to present Gather/Celebrate/Congregate, a 4 course dinner designed for end of year connection.

Intentional Nourishment will be served family style, with a seasonal menu inspired by traditional soul food.

Gather/Celebrate/Congregate marks Sisterwoman’s move back to South London and is their last event for the year.

To Snack:

Spicy fonio cakes with fennel and grapefruit

Starter:

Charred okra, tomato and butter bean tart
Whipped ackee cream

Main (Served family style):

Braised tofu and celeriac in gumbo sauce
Brown sugar roasted sweet potatoes with smoked cashew cream and green seasoning
Roasted brussel sprouts with sourdough bread sauce
Mac n cheese
Greens
Rice n pigeon peas
Gravy

Dessert:

Gizzada mille feuille
Plantain rum infused crème pat
Miso coconut caramel

 

ABOUT SISTERWOMAN

Safiya Robinson is a creative cook, writer, wellness advocate and the founder of sisterwoman vegan, a plant based social enterprise exploring wellness through food. Inspired by her Black American, Jamaican and British heritage she creates modern, plant forward dishes, believing that food is a healing modality. Embodying the practice of intentional nourishment she centres community, education and mindfulness in her work. Through pop ups, supper clubs, writing and workshops, Safiya seeks to create community centred spaces that spark joy and create space for critical food and wellness conversation. Safiya was nominated one of Code Hospitality’s Top 100 Women in Hospitality 2021 and 30 under 30 2024 and has been featured in Time Out, British Vogue, The Guardian among others.
