This UK premiere of Additive Inverse forms part of Sadler’s Wells’ Focus on Forsythe season: a celebration of the career of iconic choreographer William Forsythe. As an American working internationally for the last thirty years, Forsythe is recognised as one of the world’s foremost choreographers. His work is celebrated for reorienting the practice of ballet from its identification with classical repertoire into a dynamic 21st-century art form.
Composed of thread and fog, the material work is a score for a delicately sustained solo performance. This installation by William Forsythe is made in collaboration with Philip Bußmann, features a soundtrack by Thom Willems and is performed at the South London Gallery (SLG) by Alessio Silvestrin.
