The South London Gallery will host New Curators from September 2023. New Curators is a new, paid one-year curatorial training programme based in London for individuals from lower socio-economic backgrounds. In Summer 2024, New Curators will also present an exhibition at the SLG.
New Curators want to enable a wider range of people to enter the curatorial profession, to contribute to and enrich the art world by better representing diverse communities.
The training will be free and participants will be paid a Real Living Wage. This is a post-graduate level course open to applicants from working class and lower socio-economic backgrounds.
