The schools programme at the South London Gallery (SLG) is free and open to schools and colleges across all key stages, as well as early years settings.
The SLG’s extensive communities & learning programme focuses on well-being, skills development, commissioning opportunities and long-standing, much valued local partnerships. Working closely with families, schools and teachers, young people and neighbouring communities, we offer artist-led workshops, drop-in activities, digital resources, screenings, talks, exhibition tours and publications across our three sites, online, and in other venues locally.

The Residents’ Programme works with and for the South London Gallery’s close neighbours who live on Elmington, Pelican and Sceaux Gardens estates, to deliver a long-term public art and learning project.
The South London Gallery runs a rich and exciting programme of art events for children and families. Free drop-in, artist-led workshops take place on the last Saturday of every month and are open to all. They provide an engaging, fun and informal space for families to relax together at the gallery.
Young people activate South London Gallery’s exhibitions, events and spaces. We work with young people to create an exciting organise public programme, to that engages with artists and their work and to think about rethinks the ways in which that contemporary art can be inspiring, relevant and fun.
